A new barbershop opened in Barraba last week, in one of the downstairs premises in the redeveloped Victoria Hotel at 82 Queen Street. Dani Havner is the barber, and she has called her new business fittingly “Queen Street Barber”.
Dani was born and raised in California, and moved to Barraba five years ago to be with her husband, Kevin. Dani studied barbering in 2012 and has worked in the industry for the last 11 years. She says she likes the opportunity of working locally and having the flexibility to still spend time with her family.
Ebony Urquhart took advantage of the first appointments after lockdown lifted for her sons Dexter and Felix. “We are very happy customers. It’s wonderful to see a new business in town catering for all ages and we wish her all the very best,” says Ebony. The Queen Street Barber is open Wednesdays 9-5, Thursday 2-6, Fridays 2-6.
