A huge Paragliding State of Origin competition over Easter with over 200 pilots flying every day.
The Queensland Canetoads took the trophy home again for the 3rd time in a row from the Barbarian Bugs and the NSW Cockroaches. Its starting to sound like the Footy with that run of wins !
1st : Queensland Canetoads (207pts)
2nd : Barbarian Bugs (181pts)
3rd : NSW Cockroaches (180pts).
Some great late season distances were flown by all levels of pilots with dozens of PB’s daily and XC’s over 100kms.
Importantly, being a novice pilot focused event the conditions were typically easy autumn flying allowing many to go XC for the first time leaving the vicinity of the Mt Borah launch area. Lots of smiling faces every day at the HQ check-back.
